ABOUT US --- WHY US?

We are a traditional "mom & pop" bead shop.  Our bead store in the Historic Fountain Square area of Indianapolis focuses on the retail sale of beads and their related products.  This web site focuses on classes, schedules, current events, and will highlight some of the best of our finished professional quality hand-crafted necklaces, bracelets and earrings.  Judy Champa, co-owner, designer and bead enthusiast is our featured jewelry artist.  All the jewelry items featured here are one-of-a-kind artistic creations.  You can be assured that whichever items you purchase, they will be unique!

Judy Champa is the inspiration and creator of the bead jewelry that we sell.  Many years ago, Judy suffered a number of physical disabilities that prevented her from working at her chosen profession as a children's photographer.  Restricted by her physical and medical ailments, she began experimenting with numerous types of craft activities.  She made porcelain faces, designer sweatshirts, and variety of other crafts.  A few years ago she found a passion for beading and began crafting beautiful, professional quality bead jewelry.  In the fall of 2009 we started exploring an opportunity to buy out and open our own bead shop.  Heirloom Classics, Inc. is the fulfillment of that dream.  We opened for business in late March of 2010.

Ed ChampaEd Champa has spent the past quarter of a century managing retail stores for RadioShack, Cord Camera and Revol Wireless.  He is responsible for the administrative, retail and management aspects of the business.

Your Own Personal Jewelry Concierge Service

Not everyone wants to make their own jewelry.  So, Judy will custom manufacture jewelry from your image, sketch or description.  She will help you find the appropriate beads, create a layout, design or pattern, and have your "one-of-a-kind" masterpiece ready in just a few days.  This will be a "classics  piece of jewelry that you can wear with pride and distinction, then, pass it on to your children or grandchildren as an "heirloom".  We call that an "heirloom classic".
